Room Description:
Dr. M is a renowned chemist and strives to have his only son follow in his footsteps, pressuring him into taking studies in chemistry. His son, on the other hand, is only interested in astronomy and although Dr. M passes on all his knowledge, his son can no longer handle the pressure and commits suicide to avoid a life he doesn’t want.

Regretful and devastated by the loss of his son, Dr. M attempts to bring him back to life, but even with his extensive scientific knowledge he is unsuccessful. Dr. M’s grasp on reality becomes distorted compelling him to experiment on living people in the hope of discovering some clue that may help him revive his son.

You wake up in a room after a drug-induced coma and unfortunately for you and your friends, Dr. M intends to make you his next experiment. Can you escape the fate of becoming laboratory rats before Dr. M returns?

Kyle: *Spoilers*
Returning to the familiar Mission-branded rooms, we found ourselves back at the Pitt Street venue, reminiscent of our previous attempt at The Lost Mine what feels like ages ago. This time, our seasoned team tackled Dr. M. The storyline resonated well with us, and the room offered a pleasing mix of traditional locks and mechanical puzzles. Signs of age were evident, and interestingly, this room became the inspiration for our team name, 187 – Just ask Simon about that one. The room demanded a minimum of four participants, given certain challenges requiring everyone's arm's length. A laser section added an extra layer of excitement, though my size ruled me out from taking on that particular challenge. True to Mission's reputation, we thoroughly enjoyed our time, successfully beating the clock once again, leaving with smiles on our faces.

Simon: Ahhhhhhhh ...... I feel like I need to address this before we get into this review. My math in this particular game let me down, which was frustrating because I actually thought I contributed well up until this point towards the end of the game. Just having flashbacks to high school math class where my teacher asked me to find 30% of 100, which my answer was 25. Years later, now with a Diploma and Bachelors Degree this still gets me rattled and that particular moment reminded me that math and I don't go together! Anyway, this was a room that we had talked about going to since we first started looking at doing escape rooms and we finally managed to do it many escape rooms later. It was very well done, and with this being one of Mission Escape's first rooms, it is amazing to think that they came up with a room with challenging yet cohesive puzzles. The narrative was solid and the setting was very imersive. Being an older game I figured there would be a lot of elements that we would have seen before but so many of the puzzles were unique and very creative and fun! My only advice, don't forget your basic maths #187GVNG
